AMC Contract Management
An AMC—Annual Maintenance Contract—workflow for companies that maintain customer equipment under fixed service agreements, covering preventive visits, breakdown calls, SLA control, technician execution, billing, and renewal.
Context
Business need
Service providers needed more than isolated maintenance requests. They needed one customer contract that records what equipment is covered, what service was promised, when preventive visits are due, how quickly breakdowns must be handled, what can be billed, and when the agreement should be renewed.

Inside the workflow

Workflow
How it works
- 01
Define the agreement
Record the customer, service location, contract dates, package, visit frequency, inclusions, exclusions, commercial terms, and SLA commitments.
- 02
Confirm equipment coverage
Link the customer equipment covered by the agreement so every future visit and breakdown remains traceable to the correct asset.
- 03
Schedule preventive service
Activate the contract and generate planned work orders from the agreed service frequency.
- 04
Respond to breakdowns
Register reactive calls, assign responsibility, and monitor response and resolution deadlines against the contract SLA.
- 05
Execute and report
Complete the checklist, record findings, work performed and parts used, then produce the customer service report.
- 06
Invoice and renew
Track due billing periods, create linked invoices without duplication, and identify expiring contracts for renewal.
Development
What I built
- I designed the customer AMC lifecycle from draft agreement and equipment coverage through activation, service delivery, expiry, and renewal.
- I developed configurable service plans that generate preventive work orders according to the agreed visit frequency.
- I implemented reactive service calls, priorities, response and resolution deadlines, SLA status, overdue visibility, and operational alerts.
- I created a practical technician workflow with checklists, findings, work notes, used-parts records, completion controls, and customer-ready service reports.
- I connected billing schedules with Odoo invoicing while preventing the same contract period from being invoiced twice.
- I delivered security roles, dashboards, demo data, scheduled automation, tests, documentation, icons, banners, screenshots, and installable releases for Odoo 15 through 19.

Support
Release assurance
- I tested installation, access rights, contract activation, preventive scheduling, reactive calls, SLA calculations, work completion, billing, reporting, and renewal behaviour.
- I validated the same core business workflow on Odoo 15, 16, 17, 18, and 19 with version-specific branches and installable packages.
- I documented the operating flow and included demonstration records so functional reviewers can understand the product without customer data.
- The module records alerts, state changes, invoice links, renewal relationships, and service evidence to make future support and troubleshooting traceable.
